Taxation Committee

Objectives

A. To report to ARCPA at meetings or through publications any changes in legislation, decisions and administrative procedures concerning federal and state taxation.

B. To secure recommendations from members of ARCPA for amendment of the federal income tax laws and transmit those thought to be meritorious to the Committee on Federal Taxation of the AICPA.

C. To secure recommendations from members of ARCPA for amendment of the state income tax laws and transmit those thought to be meritorious to the Arkansas Tax Advisory Council.

D. To maintain communication with the state's U. S. Congressmen and Senators through personal contact and correspondence in order to keep such legislators informed of the profession's views on current tax problems.

E. To review tax amendments with special reference to problems most common to Arkansas.

F. To take special problems of general application to the Internal Revenue Service and the Arkansas Department of Revenue.

G. To function on all matters of local, as distinguished from federal, taxation.
